I have put together an app built around qylock's themes (thank you) #110

Hi @Darkkal44

First Thanks a lot for your great effort and work.
I want to let you know about something I built on top of your qylock, and to say thank you.

Darwan is an Arch Linux app with a CLI, a TUI and a Qt GUI. It lets you pick, configure, preview and apply qylock's themes on both the SDDM login screen and the Quickshell lockscreen. It replaces the install scripts with a pacman package, keeps the settings in one config file, and uses a small polkit helper for the SDDM steps that need root. It's on the AUR as darwan and darwan-bin.

All the themes are yours. I only built the app around them, and the README says so up front. It credits you, the contributors and your supporters, links to qylock and your Ko-fi, and asks people to star qylock. Darwan uses the same license as qylock (GPL-3.0-only).

While testing every theme headlessly I found a few lockscreen problems:

  • Nothing wouldn't unlock
  • material-you and material-you-dark wouldn't submit the password on the lockscreen
  • genshin needed a mouse click before it took keyboard input

I fixed these in Darwan's copies. If you'd like them upstream, I'm happy to send PRs against qylock's layout.

If you'd rather Darwan did anything differently, like how you're credited or how the themes are presented, just tell me and I'll change it.

Thanks for making something so lovely. 💜
