not a real PR... but something you can quickly checkout and play with.
Note that ndv currently only supports pyqt6 (it could be made backwards compatible if it was important). So you will first want to uninstall pyqt5 and then run
pip install ndv[pyqt]. Then you can play with the example (which mostly just preloads the app with sample data for my convenience :))
