- Jhan & Danny to update us on JaC progress
- Claire to provide update on CABLE-WRF
- Discussion of namelist separation (cable.nml). What is the logical thinking behind the current separation of switches? e.g.l_laiFeedbk is is a model switch, but depends on CASA. Similarly, redistrib is a "parameter" but is actually a logical variable.
Preliminary suggestion: https://github.com/CABLE-LSM/CABLE-Trac-archive/wiki/jhan_temp_cablenml
- The decision was taken to postpone the annual science meeting until folks were available - what month should we aim for instead?
- Update: Saana, Anna and Juergen submitted a land session to AMOS.
- Rachel received a request from Tony Hirst for a CABLE speaker at the ALCS in Canberra
- Spamming CABLE users re: committee meetings. (Lets fix dates for the meeting - the second Tuesday of the month. Grab a "permanent" meeting link etc) 7.2 Also "The Committee members" - https://trac.nci.org.au/trac/cable/wiki/CableMembers
The only trunk update in the past month came from synchronizing with the CMIP6 version of CABLE.
The only non-trivial change for CABLE in general was updating the minimum wind speed to a lower .01 m/s value. A higher value was in place during testing ACCESS-CM2 as it was feared that there were grid points being inappropriately "updated" because of the low wind speed, leading to inconsistency in the atmosphere etc etc
These are just bug fixes - no discussion necessary:
Ticket #222 Climate from zero
(From memory - if it is FALSE you must have an appropriate initialisation, restart file)
Ticket #221 Fixes to make MPI GSWP3 runs work. Still an issue with the Or flag.
These are mode improvements - no discussion necessary:
Ticket #219 has added Ci:Ca as an output variable
Ticket #200 4d vars - this is an issue as it is not ALMA compliant
Ticket #217 Proposed Structure of CABLE 3
Ticket #218 is about the C3/C4 split in the canopy code. Martin has created a branch with this in and tested it.
Martin has created a branch with this in and tested it and found no difference. This needs to go back to Ying-Ping and Anna now, Martin briefly mentioned this to Rachel.
