Apologies to the organizers — this PR was opened ~10 hours after the deadline, and that's entirely on me (availability, not the solution). I completely understand if that affects eligibility.

For the record on provenance: the complete solution repo, including the pinned scoring commit 07b1c96, was pushed to GitHub on 2026-08-03 at 21:39 UTC (server-side created_at/pushed_at timestamps, ~9.5 hours before the deadline), and the runtime is deterministic — the pinned commit reproduces the submitted predictions.jsonl byte-for-byte (sha256 in SUBMISSION.md). So the work itself predates the cutoff; only the paperwork was late.

Happy to have the entry judged however you see fit, and sorry again for the timing.
