This happens when you go from extend layout to a single monitor. I know this was intended, but the implementation is incomplete, ideally it should be a one time warning message and the issue is ignored for future occurrences.

In my specific case I use my PC as a game streaming rig and I have monitor presets saved in "Monitor Profile Switcher". When I want to stream HDR I enable my main monitor only, this triggers the exception and I can't remove it unless I quit the app, which is inconvenient and you have to keep reopening it every time.

With my edit, the app simply doesn't update the sensor panel location when it's single monitor (I guess) because the combo box selection is empty (the saved monitor is not found among the items). As soon as you change back to an extend layout the right sensor monitor is selected and it's back in business.

This happens when you go from extend layout to
single monitor (for whatever reason, e.g. remote desktop
or game streaming)
Enabling a quick refresh or exit actions without restoring the app.
