Does it really make the most sense to look for packages installed from GitHub on GitHub instead of CRAN?? Usually, if people install from GitHub, they'll probably have done so to test a particular feature, and won't necessarily be that bothered if the remote version gets ahead. However, it may be nice to remind them that they are ahead of the released version. This might also help if they're using the GitHub version for a while, and then a new version hits CRAN, because they'll know they can now upgrade 🤔
