Hi, I'm the author of subagent-tuner, a Claude Code mod that might interest people who build and use subagents from this collection.
Subagent definitions pin a model in frontmatter, but the calling agent can still override it on the Agent call itself, which wins in the documented resolution order. The mod lets you decide at dispatch time instead: a pane asks which model and reasoning effort the subagent should get (dialogs on narrow terminals), a recommendation by task kind fills the gaps, and an Auto mode applies your saved default over what the call requested. Forks and
claude -p/ SDK runs are never touched, it fails open if anything goes wrong, and it makes no network calls. It's MIT licensed and new (v0.1.4, 196 unit tests, CI runs
claude plugin validate --strict). Install with/plugin install subagent-tuner --marketplace Kruhlikau/subagent-tuner; the README has a recorded demo. Happy to hear which dispatch rules you'd want built in.All reactions
