The majority of video surveillance systems available today are outdated and require payment to access. Typically, demo versions do not allow for video recording or detection, which presents a major issue. Upon payment, users often discover that the applications have unstable performance, experience difficulties with specific ip cameras or computer overload. The lack of full basic functionality in demo versions, which typically only support 1-4 ip cameras, prevents proper testing of these issues. This project aims to create a free, lightweight and user-friendly video surveillance system capable of recording footage with ease.
