I do like that feature in Quicken (20+ years user!) but never trusted it because my cashflow moves from account to account too much. :-) Regardless, nice idea ... and others are asking about recurring in the Discord, so maybe somebody will pick it up. |

Describe the feature
Add enhanced recurring transaction management and forecasting capabilities:
Manual editing of recurring transactions - Allow users to modify the frequency, amount, category, and other properties of existing recurring transactions without having to delete and recreate them.
Permanent deletion of recurring transactions - Enable users to delete recurring transactions with a "permanently remove" option, so they don't automatically reappear after bank syncs. (Currently, deleted recurring transactions regenerate after resync, forcing users to delete them repeatedly.)
Account balance forecasting view - Add a unified forecasting interface where users can select an account and see a projected balance on a specific future date, based on scheduled recurring transactions and bills.
Why is this feature important?
These features solve key pain points in financial planning:
Recurring transaction editing: Life changes (salary changes, subscription price increases, bill adjustments). Users should be able to update these without losing history or having to recreate them from scratch.
Permanent deletion: Recurring transactions that should be removed (canceled subscriptions, old payroll entries) keep reappearing after bank syncs, cluttering the interface and forcing repeated manual cleanup
Balance forecasting: Budgeting requires knowing "how much will I have on [date]?" A dedicated forecasting view would help users plan major expenses, savings goals, and financial decisions with confidence. Currently, this calculation requires manual estimation.
