\subsection{Introduction to transformers}
Internal resistance of the transformer:

\item Disagreement between predicted result (design exercise) and measured value: where does the difference come from? Let students think about this and come up with hypotheses.
\item Hint: Components in circuit diagrams are considered to be ideal, but in reality (in particular for inductors) they are hardly ideal. What could be the non-ideal behavior for these inductors?
\item Primary resistance can be treated in series with output impedance of the source. Secondary resistance can be treated as in series with the transformed impedance. Ultimately the output impedance of the transformed source is $Z' = (Z + R_P) (N_S/N_P)^2 + R_S$.

Point out where capacitors are, and where they can be measured (some DVMs have capacitor measurement).
\subsection{The \boldmath$RC$ circuit}
Make sure to stress that angular frequency $\omega$ is not equal to frequency $f$. Difference in $v_{in}/v_{out}$ ratio will be about $\sqrt{1 + (2\pi)^2} \approx 6$
Measuring time constants:
\begin{itemize}
\item Oscilloscope set to AC mode can confuse things
\item Do not use internal fall/rise time measurements which probably use 90\%-10\% fall/rise time, even though they can be related using ratios of $\ln 0.9$
\item Use max/min/period measurements and $v_{min} = v_{max} \exp (-t/\tau)$ to determine $\tau$, or can be done with cursors
\end{itemize}
