Error running batchConvertFromFits on galaxies with a "-" in a name

The galaxy name appears to be truncated by script converting fits to png

ex: MCG-02-51-004

Note: I think this is the naming convention the Morphological Catalogue of Galaxies

with fits file name: MCG-02-51-004_r.fits

produces the following error that is found in the batchConvertFromFits file in the tmp directory:
WARNING: could not convert MCG (unable to read /tmp/SF5280/MCG.fits: File "/tmp/SF5280/MCG.fits" does not exist.)

I have attached the full output as a file. This is the same issue for all wavebands

Good Lord, I can't believe you submitted this issue in August and I still haven't looked at it. I only noticed now that I'm going through my emails to find requests for recommendation letters for all my cs199 students who are applynig to grad school, with deadlines of Dec. 15th.

If I forget this for another week, feel free to kick me in the ass and remind me. It's probably something simple in a "sed" or "awk" or Bourne shell script.
