I love Rust, but my brain doesn't really register the official Rust logo when I see it in my text editor. Ferris the Rustacean, however, is an immediate hit for me.

Do you have any objection to the addition of Ferris to this set of icons, despite the existence of the official Rust logo already?

Happy to upload the official SVG, a modified version that's monochrome, or the IcoMoon json I cobbled together yesterday.
