Is there any way to replace Nextjs's internal webpack by vite?

Description

As a nextjs developer, they create dumb tool to develop front end project, local dev server easily use 15Gb memory.

The issue has existed for at least two years, which they can't solve.

Nextjs internally using webpack, I think replace it by vite will be a good way to solve the memory problem.

Suggested solution

Better to completely rewrite it.

Rewrite it's local dev server at least.

Hey @tcper! Moved the issue to a discussion, as it isn't anything actionable for Vite as a project. If you want to use a Vite powered framework for React, there are several options out there already.
