Is it a language problem only?
grsyncx opens after installation, file/folder selections are OK, but the 'simulation run' gives no progress. The app has to be killed from osx menu.
It's said due to the sandboxing permission has to be set, but on my German (DE) based macOS Sierra can't follow the instructions for System Preferences -> Security&Privacy -> Privacy tab. So no "Full Disk Access" is around there!? Paid app but not functional .. not good!
Hope for a clearer instruction usable also on a German (DE) installation .. money back!

I have the same problem. Left it open many hours and it had done nothing. Nothing in the console. I did give permissions in Security > Accessibility but it made no difference. It won't respond to STOP or command+Q and have to force quit every time. Simulate has the same result however STOP does work. I didn't get from the app store but downloaded here. Running High Sierra 10.13.6. Could it be waiting on a response from rsync and not finding rsync? I am running the standard install.
Doesn't work on my fresh reinstalled HighSierra 10.13.6 imac
Installed (and paid...) the app from the App store
Tried to go on System Preferences -> Security&Privacy -> Privacy tab but no parameters are availables to configure this app
I tried to copy a few folders from on location to another but I can only see a "file progress - output" window, without any other result
As there is no answer to previous questions, I copy this comment on the app store as well
