Component or Validation link doesn't work after updating the type name

There is a known issue which happens when changing the type name of a element type, for example changing "Components" to "Tools".

This problem is expected to be solved on an next version of this plugin, but for now there is a well known workaround to overcome this issue.

Reproducing the problem

  • Change the Component singular and plural name to "Tool" and "Tools" respectively.
  • Click save and wait.

  • Try to open a "Tool"

  • The page will fail opening giving an 404 error.

Workaround

The workaround available is to refresh the permalinks on the WordPress, by following these steps.

  • Go to Settings -> Permalinks

  • Scroll down and click "Save Changes"

  • Trying to open the previous "Tool" again should work now.

Tag and website info of the element is not appearing after the 1.2.0 update

This happens because the render of the element is generated during the subscription.

Workaround

  • Delete the subscription and resubscribe using the same token on the "IoT Catalogue" setting page.
