[bug] Beeper Matrix Spaces appear empty in iamb despite containing rooms

Environment

• iamb version: 0.0.11
• Installation: Homebrew
• Homeserver: Beeper

Problem

Matrix Spaces are visible in iamb, but they appear empty. The rooms contained in those Spaces are visible separately in :rooms.

This happens both with:

• Spaces created by Beeper
• A new Space created in iamb

Steps to reproduce

1. Create or open a Space
2. Focus the Space
3. Add a room :space child set !room_id:server
4. iamb reports: space updated
5. Leave and reopen the Space (or restart iamb)

Expected behavior

The room should appear as a child of the Space.

Actual behavior

The Space remains empty.

Additional notes

• The room ID is correct.
• The room is visible in :rooms.
• The Space itself persists after restarting iamb.
• Beeper/Element can display these Spaces with their children, but iamb does not.

This may be related to differences in how Beeper creates or annotates m.space.child events, or iamb's handling of Matrix Space summaries.

This could also be beeper doing something funky with their spaces thus causing the weird behaviour. I also don't know if the client is intended to actually work with the beeper server but as most things already works perfectly maybe this could also be addressed :)

I cannot reproduce this using just iamb.

• :create ++space
• :room name set <testspace>
• :space child set <room_id>

After this the room is part of the space (even after restarting iamb). I tested this both with 0.11.0 and with the current main (bb1a278).

I don't have a beeper account I could test this with.

Note: iamb only shows rooms that you have already joined in spaces. Unjoined rooms will always be hidden.

Yes it might be beeper specific because even though I did test creating a space from within iamb and adding rooms to that. The rooms I tested with where all Beeper rooms.
