@pan-grayza can you talk to @addmmyyyy about their work on this PR and what they've done locally to improve it?

I would like to either:

  • Close this PR in favour of an up-to-date PR which implements the same stuff
  • Continue work on this PR so that it can be merged, to improve our event page

The knock on effects here are:

  • This would patch the known vulnerability we discussed on Discord
  • Improve page load times
  • Improve site useability
