History without GitHub

Now we are using GitHub's API to fetch the history. I think we have to move away from this and instead try to only clone the log history.

This way we can remove our dependency to GitHub and users can host their code anywhere they see fit.

Feel free to pick it up. There is an open PR but the author is not replying anymore. Feel free to use this as a starting point.

A note though, I am in the final review of the big UI redesign PR. So what I can suggest is to make a branch based on that so that you don't have to do some unnecessary rework.

I did a quick research and it seems like I can do it with something like https://isomorphic-git.org/
But in the project card we still rely on the "project URL" which is assumed to be a Github URL.
What are the further plans regarding platform-agnostic repo interaction?
Do you plan to support multiple platforms like Gitlab, Bitbucket, so on, or maybe just host repo's name, description and root hash and support purely local repositories with their "project url" being their address in Soroban?

Maybe it's even possible to add some mechanisms like DHT on top of it and host repos in decentralized manner

Edit: there may also be CORS-related problems with fetching remote git urls, so we may need to use a CORS proxy (either self-hosted or third-party, both options a bit unaligned with decentralization)
