Description

In Edgeless mode, we can create object groups and "Insert into Page".
However, objects within the bounds of the group (but not actually part of it) are still rendered in the page view.

The current behaviour may be intended, so I've opened this issue as a Feature Request.
But this is the behaviour I'd expect with inserting a Frame into the Page, not for a Group.

There should be a toggle (option) for "strict rendering" of groups in page view so that only the selected objects are shown. This would provide a more focused representation of the grouped objects in page view.

Use case

Say you have a complex mind map in Edgeless mode.
If you want to focus on just a specific section of the graph, you'd form a group and "Add in Page".
Then you could write whatever notes you'd like in reference to the image without extra clutter, like:

  • arrows pointing into or out from the group
  • background shapes that are not part of the group

Anything else?
