Describe the purpose of kafka-etcd-plugin in a README

Is kafka-etcd-plugin a replacement for the ZooKeeper service discovery backend to Kafka? Or is kafka-etcd-plugin something else?

Hi Mcandre, yes it's supposed to replace ZK for Kafka. At the moment it's not being actively developed, and there are other options like zk frontend for etcd to mask this. But if someone is still interested can still pick this up.
