next/vite branch: Conditional module require fails

On android we're fetching EXIF information via the module "fh.imagefactory"

if(OS_ANDROID){
   const fhImageFactory = require('fh.imagefactory');
 ...
}

This will on iOS result in
[vite] Internal server error: Failed to resolve require "fh.imagefactory" from "app/lib/utils.ts". Does the file exist?

I have same issue with lib/crypto-js/crypto-js.js it works with old liveview
