It would be nice that guests get a notification when the DJ has begun playing a song they requested

An "app" would be the native way to do that, but that would be dev intensive

It is possible to have web sites have notification access through your phone (chrome, firefox, safari, etc) so perhaps that's the first low hanging fruit to cover

It would also require additional fingerprinting including cookie/token storage in the browser since people may have the same IP if they're on the same internet connection behind NAT
