I’ve ordered a few E49-900T20D (CMT2300A) boards for use with OpenDTU, I was happy that I found a board version, with pin header and SMA antenna connector instead of SMD board with IPEX antenna connector (➔ E49-900M20S).
Unfortunately I just learned from this discussion, that there is a fundamental difference in that the 900T version uses UART, but OpenDTU talks SPI, which is only available in the E49-900M20S.
Unfortunately there is no E49-900M20D, which would be SPI, through hole/pin header with SMA. It kind of sucks that one needs a carrier PCB and an SMA pigtail cable to connect to the E49-900M20S, the SPI/SMD/IPEX version of the board.
Any chance you could add UART support to OpenDTU on short term?

Overview:
900T … UART
900M … SPI
20S … SMD/IPEX
20D … Through-hole, Pin header/SMA
