Weird silence on playback bug

Ok, unzip that
Open the project. (Needs surge and sc and some native reaper plugs)
Go in the SC and resolve the samples probably
Press spacebar a bunch of times

For me, after start/stopping a few times, it makes the whole project (including the surges) output silence for a time after playback. When that happens, if I let it run, it eventually catches up and starts outputting the audio, and seemingly correctly synced too. You also get a little burst of audio when stopping.

Very very weird.
