AI stops after auto compaction using `vcc`

Could this be related to pi-vcc returning firstKeptEntryId: "" when there’s only one user prompt before a long assistant/tool run?

If I’m reading it right, pi then comes back with just the VCC summary and no recent real messages kept. For auto compaction, could pi-vcc use the firstKeptEntryId that pi already calculated, but still generate the VCC summary?
