Tool/Function call support for DeepSeek models

I noticed that Tool/Function calling is yet to be supported for DeepSeek, and I noticed that none of

Is it going to be supported in the near future??

You can run Ollama locally with small parameter numbers. Then access DeepSeek via Ollama. It is a temporary workaround.

Function calling already works, but only with the deepseek-chat model. This limitation comes from the DeepSeek model itself, not Spring AI. If you’re interested, here’s a working example you can check out:

I understand your confusion but It's not about spring ai version. The latest deepseek model added support for function calling.
