When I started this project in 2023, I projected the costs of buying and operating a Plex server vs. paying for my own Premium Netflix subscription would break even in around 3 years. What I didn't account for it was it being a hit, or consider storing a permanent media library on the servarr for new and old crew to enjoy.
How can you contribute to Nathflix?
VPN
Most of the operational costs for the servarr are covered by my own living and professional development expenses. All except for the VPN subscription, which is set to expire on 3 Apr 2027 ⏳
Tip
~A$6 to buy a month's worth of VPN and keep us safe at sea 🏴☠️
Storage
I use an app called Maintainerr to optimise the current storage, and cleanup media that isn't being watched. Some of the servarr crew have a backlog of content they want to add to the library, but we'll need more storage to make it permanent🏛️

~A$37 to chip in a terabyte of storage, and eventually get another 8TB hard drive 💾
