I write software for making music.

I also think it's self-evident that charging a fixed price for creative software
makes it less accessible to low-income artists, which is bad,
and that closed-source code practices lead to wheel reinvention, which is also bad,
so I want to release as much of my software as I can free and open-source.

BUT

in order to be able to give the time and energy needed to write code which isn't sold,
I need to earn a living through other means.
