A user contributed a PR (now merged) with an implementation of cluster_get_codif_dist (plus a few other changes to support loading the necessary data). They also attached a Jupyter notebook showing how to use it to create and plot 2d slices. We should follow that example and implement the usual top-level particle tools (cluster_part_getspec, cluster_part_products) in PySPEDAS and SPEDAS.
We should also add unit tests for the new load routine options and cluster_get_codif_dist.
