1. "I made a fork of a curl noise shadertoy here which shows a mix of large scale and small scale curls: https://www.shadertoy.com/view/XfS3R3 This is achieved by modifying the layered noise function so it primarily adds high frequencies where the lower frequencies are neutral."

2. "Here’s an idea - have 2 octaves of curl noise, but don’t add them. Instead linearly interpolate between them based on a third noise (probably Perlin/simplex)."
