"Exception: No channel" when connecting - on Ubuntu 18.03 LTS

Try to run this on Ubuntu 18.03LTS. Looks like there is some kind of an issues...

Listening for connection on port 2222 ...

I also had this issue.
If you're testing from your local machine, the SSH client might try to authorize with a public key. Check with the -v flag when calling from the client.
The workflow is:

1. It goes to

   basic_ssh_honeypot/basic_ssh_honeypot.py

   Line 59 in c8ecad4

   def get_allowed_auths(self, username):

2. This returns "publickey,password", so the client tries to use one of your SSH keys in the request.
3. It authenticates with publickey

   basic_ssh_honeypot/basic_ssh_honeypot.py

   Line 64 in c8ecad4

   def check_auth_publickey(self, username, key):

4. This returns paramiko.AUTH_PARTIALLY_SUCCESSFUL which triggers again another get_allowed_auths (documentation here)
5. It goes to step 1 and everything fires again

It eventually ends after 10 seconds, as there aren't any channels.
