Minor issues thread

Just wanted to share some rough edges here and there :)

Version: 3.23.1

During Initial setup, and later in "Setup Center" - the Workflow button leads nowhere:

After full setup, the "Done" button not removing the "hand" from lower left corner:

Why? If I finished the guide, why I still see it. Maybe ask the user, if he wants to hide the Setup after he finished it?
And the left button "Hide Home Reminder" - also not working. It just close the Setup window.

In Windows taskbar, Thoth don't have an icon:

Long installation and launch:
For installation, a beefy PC, with SSD and Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-14700K took 8 minutes to install a fresh version of Thoth. O_o
Same with fresh start after the PC restart. After I click Thoth desktop icon, I have to wait around 4 to 5 minutes to it became usable.

This is not something major, but it's strange for 2026 to wait that long for a Assistant to start. Others like Hermes, AnythingLLM, Skales, pyGPT, etc. - taking around 15 seconds max.

Is it possible to remove it? I don't want to connect Thoth to Whatsapp or use tunneling, so it will be there forever because I didn't turned on these features?

Not as of now. I will see if we can make this collapsible.

I mean - it's useful if Thoth really making a self checks, just let me remove unused features from here. I like the idea to see if all my tools\integrations\MCPs\providers\messengers are working, I just don't want to get warnings about features I've turned off :)

Yeah maybe something like pinning. Or hide disabled. I'll see what's possible

Yup makes sense. As everything us turned on on my build machine, I never thought from that angle

Thanks. These are great points regarding the setup wizard. Will fix those in future releases.
I am more concerned about the slow launch. It only takes about 20 secs on my test systems. Can you send me the log files on syd@get-thoth.com. I will have a look.

Sure! Can you tell me there are they? Or how to collect them?

They should be under the logs folder in you .thoth data directory.
You can also see the logs in the ui in the Activity panel. But for this startup issue logs files and maybe a screenshot of what you see when its loading would be good. Thanks

Maybe we can add some pointers in the feature description?

As small idea. Maybe we can collapse or hide unused channels here as well? It's just taking space :)
