Describe the bug

When trying to load a video to the editor using the open video file option, the app get stuck loading.
Tried with videos previously recorded using openscreen and also videos recorded without it.
Tried to wait long enough for the loading, nothing happens.

Expected behavior

The editor opens with the loaded video file

To Reproduce

1. start openscreen
2. press the open video file option
3. select a video file

Maybe try quitting the app restarting it? or reinstalling it? That is very unusual. Not sure if the tahoe update changed anything. I'll have to upgrade and see if this can be reproducible.

Hey Sid thanks for the response and for this amazing tool.
I tried both, also installed the last 2 releases and it reproduced on both.
Tahoe does have some bugs all over the place but I can't point on something similar, I did notice that the app is only asking for permission to record the screen and audio so maybe it's a permissions issue.

With that said, I didn't used the app before Tahoe so I don't have a strong insights in that matter.

The permissions would be for Accessibility, Microphone, Screen and System Audio Capture. In the meanwhile you can use https://recordly.dev/ which is a fork of this app. I'll try investigating what's going on, could be some electron regression with new macOS updates.

Could you confirm if you selected a valid file? I'm wondering if the issue is the window popping up to select a video or after selecting it the editor window is not popping up? The cropped video is confusing tbh

Yeah sorry, can't show much from my screen for different reasons.

Yes in the video I'm selecting a video to open, a video that previously recorded using Openscreen (and as I mentioned above, it happens also for videos not recorded with it)

The issue is in the loading of the video into the editor.
