Provide option to persist extension across sites with the same hostname #48
Description
The new extension's active state is "per tab", which is very useful in most circumstances, however it would be great to be able to have the active state persist across sites with the same hostname. This would be similar to the old extension behavior, but leverage the new extension's ability to isolate active state — the best of both worlds.
