Dimension error making a piecewise function

The piecewise is showing a dimension error even though there is none, it considers the eq_l.rhs as a dimension 1 and lhs as meter. It has an issue with eq_l_2.rhs, but only when I subtract l1. There is no issue if I just leave the rhs as x.
