Custom cursor but when i hover video player controls still the default cursor is showing

I disabled the default cursor for my whole website and created a custom cursor with JavaScript. This works perfectly but when i hover the video controls of plyr the default cursor is showing up on top of my custom cursor. How can i remove the custom cursor when hovering the plyr-controls in the video?
