Could really do with some tests to help with refactoring.

There are a few obvious tests:

Randomly generate amplitudes, phases for constituents, then attempt to decompose the resulting data and check that we are reasonably close to the initial data.
Generate equilibrium arguments (start of year), speeds etc for constituents and find some tabulated data to compare them to.
Generate all the relevant tables at the end of Schureman to check some of the 'magic' stuff going on in nodal_corrections.py, astro.py.
