Ok. As usual, the minute I submit a question to the universe a door opens for me locally. I've discovered the icon on the left-side menu that launches chat, and it brings up the setup menu. Here's where I need to get technical: my ollama server is running already. I use it for about 5 different interfaces in parallel, with multiple users pinging it for their own requests. I can't be setting ollama server to run only your plugin, so tell me about the OLLAMA_ORIGINS environment variable, and how that might affect my existing, extensive ollama operating env. |

Hi. Take into consideration that you know this plugin (your plugin) inside and out. Some of us are completely new to it. And to preface this, I'm a linux sys engineer running ollama locally with some of the larger models. I already have my own RAG pipeline into my Obsidian vault. But today I'm trying out some of the work of others.
So,... here goes: I installed and enabled the plugin, mapping it to my local ollama server. If I click the circular "refresh" wheel by the ollama setting, I can see on my ollama server logging that the plugin pings my ollama server. And that it the end of the story. Nothing else has happened. No embeddings seem to be compiling. There is no chat window. There is absolutely no indication the plugin is running, available or even installed (yes I can see .../.obsidian/plugins/smart-second-brain/ with a 963 byte data.json, main.js, manifest.json and styles.css.
A few specific questions:
Now that I've gone through the setup parameters, what should I expect next?
How do I interact with the plugin i.e., how do I launch the chat window?
How can I tell if embeddings have been created, and where should they be, or how do I create them? Is there a set of terminal commands I can use for debugging or an api list?
I'm at a total loss on how to interact with the plugin, and I don't see any documentation anywhere. Please point me to it, or at least take a minute to answer these introductory questions.
Thanks, RL
