I have just added some documentation, but in Portuguese. I have been using it on my compiler construction classes. The examples are explained starting at section 5.3.

It needs to be better organised and translated to English. Also it contains jflex installation instructions which are old and needs updating.

And in fact, Portuguese is great ; we even used to have the user manual in Portuguese 😀

Also, I don't think a binary PDF is really source code that should be in source control (not viewable in web Ui because too large, diff doesn't make sense to most humans).
If you want to build a PDF from Latex with Travis, I've just started doing this jflex-de/jflex#422.
I'll then attempt to publish it in the Github "releases" page.
