Eclipse not exporting config

Hi. I'm trying to wrap before extends/implements/throws
I make the change in Eclipse, making sure to toggle the force setting (preview looks good)

I format my code and the rule is applied as in the preview.

But when I export the configuration the only change is

-        <setting id="org.eclipse.jdt.core.formatter.alignment_for_superclass_in_type_declaration" value="16"/>
+        <setting id="org.eclipse.jdt.core.formatter.alignment_for_superclass_in_type_declaration" value="33"/>

Running the formatter-maven-plugin fails to achieve the same result.

Any idea what's happening?

Ok I still don't understand how this "magic number" configuration change works, but it seems the issue is with the formatter-maven-plugin.

I change the configuration file and rebuild (install) my tools project that packages the resource as per

So I expect the JAR containing the new configuration is available in local Maven repository to any project that depends on it.

But when I run mvn formatter:format in my other project, so outside the default lifecycle, then no change is made.
Running the plugin goal as part of the default lifecycle mvn clean install will make the change. So it only finds the new JAR when in the default lifecycle.

It just looks like mvn formatter:format is broken.

Oh, now I reset the changes and run mvn formatter:format and it makes the changes!
I see there's a formatter-maven-cache.properties file....

The cache file should include a hash of the formatting configuration. What is being cached is after all the need to perform the operation.
