How to get citation from a citation key using the URL API ?

Hello to all librarians responsible and committed to the organization of their Zotero library 😁

I know that using Pull export - Better BibTeX for Zotero lets you export a whole library using the URL API if you know the [collectionID].

So my question is: is it possible to extract an element (bibtex, biblatex, or any format) if you know the [collectionID] and the citationKey ? an equivalent to expose these functions through the URL API.

You could use the JSON-RPC command item.export. The collection ID isn't required for that.

Another question came to me out of pure curiosity 😅. I don't know if I should open another discussion or ask it here. In case it is appropriate to do it here my question is:

does better bibtex offers some mechanism to retrieve all the citekeys of the whole library or of some specific collectionID ?

you can use pull export in CSL-JSON mode for that, the objects returned have the citation key:

It doesn't do a whole lot. The data structure of Zotero is directly aimed at use with CSL.
