I would like to be able to configure kafka.protobuf config section for console service through Redpanda CRD
https://docs.redpanda.com/current/manage/schema-reg/schema-reg-ui/#prerequisites
but it seems to be impossible?

Is there any way around that other than creating full config file manually?

I see that there is extra field "console"
https://docs.redpanda.com/current/reference/k-crd/#k8s-api-github-com-redpanda-data-redpanda-operator-src-go-k8s-api-redpanda-v1alpha1-redpandaconsole
but I don't know how it can be used
