Interactive tabs/dynamic tabs!

Hello, @redimp - I've been perusing several wiki software/programs with a database-less structure and stumbled upon your project! I wanted to say how pretty your program looks and that I've kept it in my favorites for a little while now. ♡

I've bounced between considering Zensical (formerly Material for MkDocs), TiddlyWiki, DokuWiki, and An Otterwiki - and I'd love to support your project in any way I can! There are some features that I'd love to see implemented, most notably tabs.

The best use-case for tabs that I've seen is from TiddlyWiki, which has both horizontal and vertical tabs, and can be used within one another!

I've also seen that you have considered implementing infoboxes, which I would also love to use! I've tried setting up MediaWiki and it has a steep learning curve that felt daunting and overwhelming. My research on TiddlyWiki seems to hold similar sentiments by users for advanced features.

I want to use software that has minimal barriers to entry so I can write documentation for characters (I want to make a character database!) and world-building/lore dumping. There are a lot of features I'd like to request, but this one is of the highest priority for me currently.

Thanks for raising this request! I agree that tabs would be helpful for organizing information and providing quick access to different sections, eliminating the need for constant back-and-forth scrolling.

I'm not sure what the syntax should look like. Could you sketch a quick example of how it would work?

Hello, @redimp, I'm so sorry for never getting back to you! I never got a notification that you responded. As for the syntax, I don't have particularly robust coding experience... other than very rudimentary Markdown knowledge. From what I can see, the tabs syntax is hard-coded into the framework (like MediaWiki software knowing exactly how to render infoboxes when written), but I did an inspect element on the tabbed figure in particular and it yielded...

I'm not sure if this is actually coded into the TiddlyWiki software or if you can create code for tabs organically. TiddlyWiki is an open-source program, so you might be able to speak to their developers to see if they can help with integrating it!

Oh, and to add to the screen capture, I'm not exactly certain of the syntax you'd write in a program like VS Code, but the philosophy seems to be:

• Use a framed panel/code block to start. Within that code block you employ some tab sets, and you can orient them horizontally or vertically. Each tab has its own title or value and functions as a "button." I noticed button was integral to the syntax write-up.
• But something to keep in mind is that just about every instance of customization in the code has a "tc-" prefix, which makes me believe it's something native to the software itself that you can employ rather than writing it yourself. I'm going to be testing the skeleton of the code write-up in VS Code myself (I really want to learn the basics of HTML/CSS and advanced Markdown!) and I'll report back when I have some results!

My question was not how to implement the tabs and render them, my question was how the syntax in markdown should look like.
