improvement on signup page

currently the user has two options - signup via github directly via oauth, secondly -> the user inputs the username, email and password. I think instead of allowing the user to input his/her username, we should directly allow them to login via github auth, that will increase the security and will remove this redundant signup! this will also then fix the issue #1327 as it will prevent the user signing up on the bealf of other users. any suggestions?
