Buffer Stream

Hii, just to learn and ask. In Picamera2, once the camera started, the camera is actually in a live stream mode, which will create buffer stream, number of buffer depends on our buffer count of the configuration. Means that when we use capture_array or capture_file, it actually get a buffer frame from the buffer stream to process instead of capture an image right? Correct me if I am wrong. Thankyou so much!
