Add possibility to change email subject

I would love if this plugin could also change the subject of a new message. Do you see an easy way to implement this?

The use case is that I would like to centrally manage a number of predefined email templates (inside the default.inc.php) that are available to all users. But the subject needs to be included along with the email text.
