Add a carousel that displays 5–8 thumbnails, depending on available space.
Allow users to navigate through the gallery by clicking thumbnails in the carousel.
Ensure the carousel updates to highlight the currently active image.
Provide smooth horizontal scrolling for the carousel.

This is a maybe as the user can come out of the lightbox and and use the thumbnail view there and the styling might not be worth the effort
