Search Result Sorting

Are there any plans to implement a way to sort the search results? If not sorted, can the results be sorted such that newer articles appear near the top?

For example, specifically with OS level changes, as older OS versions go EOL, it wouldn't be good from the customer experience point to be shown results from an EOL OS in favor of an article written about a newer OS.

Hi Chris. Our current sorting criteria, in order:

1. proximity
2. exact word match
3. matching query words
4. word position in title
5. typo correction - similar match
6. number of words
7. title match
8. last modified date
