In RSS, a feed's item can reference an illustrating media in the enclosure tag. See this previous issue giving more details about it: #31

I suggest that:

  • make the parser store the hyperlink to the remote illustration (only if there is one)
  • the HTML template displays it under the description

I like the way the Want My RSS Firefox extension shows items:
