@Xpirix can we integrate a submission link into the page too? Maybe a better long term approach would be to allow submissions to the resource hub with a new resource type 'Map Gallery'?
Feature Description
https://qgis.org/project/overview/maps/ has maps from uncertain sources. I would like to have a more carefully curated set of maps there. I will use this ticket to first collate candidates and then we will take a selection of the submissions to display in the gallery.
To add a map, either attach it as a comment to this ticket in the form of:
Map Attachment (use the best resolution that you can)
Your Name
A short narrative of how QGIS was used to create the map (we will tidy up your english if you are not a native english speaker)
A declaration that QGIS was integral to the creation of the map
A declaration that you have the rights to share this image for publication
A declaration that QGIS.org may use this image for marketing and promotion as needed to benefit the project.

We will implement the gallery support in the hub during the next two week sprint
Once that is complete I will update the news item to ask people to submit their entries directly at the hub
